TAKING CONTROL OF YOUR MONEY IN 5 EASY STEPS
Money is the most talked about issue. It can be a giant pain in the butt. If you have money, it becomes even more of a pain. Below I have a small outline for some things you can do to help alleviate this pain.
1) Look at your total income. Look at what you have coming in. Look at what you are paying in monthly bills. Look at what debt you are paying off. Look how long you got for each debt. How much money are you bringing in? Is it enough to make it? If it’s not, you might have to consider taking on an extra job. You could also consider taking on extra hours at work. Either way, you have to make some sound choices here.
2)Make a list of everything you put money out on, even if it’s a mistake. Are you spending more than you should? Is there something you can cut back on? This is all part of the process.
3)Speaking of cutting back, here comes the next suggestion. Make a list of all purchases you can actually do without. Cut them off completely.
That cup of coffee you buy at Starbucks, try making your coffee at home. Some consider this Starbucks thing a “status symbol.” It’s time to step away from being one of the popular kids. It’s time to trim the fat a bit. Only spend money on what is needed. It’s okay to splurge every now and again, but do not make a habit of it.
4)It might be hard to set up an emergency account on living paycheck to paycheck, but you have to try. Set aside just a few extra bucks a week. A little bit will go along way.
SOME FINAL WORDS
The last bit of advice I will leave you with is the idea of sticking with your plan. No matter how tough it seems or how much something tempts you, stick with your budget. Sometimes it’s better to suffer now, so you can get what you want in the long run. Just some things to think about. If you need more advice, Google is a wonderful too.
